EVENTS
The 2007-2008
practices are under way. Swimmers are preparing for the upcoming Halloween Meet
on Sunday, Oct. 28th. This meet is a scrimmage against our fellow
Otters to allow new and relatively new swimmers and their parents to get acquainted
with the way a meet is run. The meet will begin at 2:00 pm with warm-ups from
1:30-1:50 pm. Let Ross or Jamie know if you will not be attending the Halloween
Meet by Thursday, Oct. 25th.
TEAM
APPAREL SALE
Team
suits are the same as last year’s suit. Swimmers are required to wear team suits
at dual meets. See Ross or Jamie for sizing of team suits.
All
first year swimmers will be given a latex team cap. All other team members can
purchase a team cap for the prices listed below. The value of a latex cap ($4.00)
will be given to new swimmers who choose to upgrade to a Silicon cap.
Coach
Ross will be designing the team T-shirt this year. T-shirts will be available for purchase until
this Sunday, October 28th.
Please
make checks payable to CUY Sea Otters and place them in the white mailbox located
on the right as you enter the pool area. Please note what you are purchasing
on the memo line to assist our Treasurer.

PASTA PARTY
The
team’s annual SPAGHETTI DINNER will be held right after the Halloween Meet in
the Program Center, the blue building next to the Y,
at 4:30 pm. Please sign up to bring something delicious to share with the team.
Also, if you have any questions feel free to call one of the coaches at the
Y. Paper products and drinks will be
provided by the Parent Board.
PRACTICE
SCHEDULE
Reminder to all parents and swimmers that
there will be NO PRACTICE on the following days
due to the Thanksgiving Holiday: Wednesday,
Nov. 21, Thursday, Nov. 22, and Friday, Nov. 23. Practice will resume
on Sunday, Nov. 25 at our regularly scheduled time.
MEET
ATTENDANCE
Please notify Ross or Jamie before Wednesday,
Oct. 31 @ 5:00 PM if you will not be attending the meet vs. HARY on Nov. 3.
It is crucial that all swimmers attend
the full amount of practice prior to the meet. This allows the coaching staff
to review all the proper techniques and rules. Thank you CUY Coaching Staff.

PARENT BOARD MEETINGS
Swim
team parent board meetings will be held on a monthly basis, on the 3rd Tuesday
of every month at 6:00 pm. They are held in the conference room. All parents
are welcome to attend and participate in the meetings.
